Registration for the 78th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management is now open! The Program and PDW Chairs are developing an exciting program that features the Teaching and Learning Conference, All-Academy Theme sessions on “Improving Lives,” theory- and method-oriented PDWs, paper presentations, and innovative symposia. Join us as a participant, presenter, discussant, and/or attendee.

You won’t want to miss the All-Academy Networking Breakfast & Presidential Address and Awards Ceremony on Sunday, August 12th. We’ll celebrate our award-winning members and collectively anticipate the creative provocative and inspiring Presidential Address from MaryAnn Glynn. You’ll see these and much more on Sunday’s All-Academy Theme program.

The poet Carl Sandburg called Chicago the “City of Big Shoulders” because the well-being of the entire nation depended on Chicago’s hard-working population and its position as a railroad hub. The 1931 Nobel Prize winner, Jane Addams was recognized for her solidarity work with those living in poverty; she established Hull House which continues to draw attention to our common welfare in the pursuit of creating a better world. Chicago is as exciting today! Pack your walking shoes to explore Chicago’s Magnificent Mile and the Lakefront Trail at Lake Michigan. We can't wait to see you in Chicago!

The Academy of Management is the preeminent professional association for management and organization scholars. Our worldwide members are professors and Ph.D. students in business schools at universities, academics in related social science and other fields, and practitioners who value knowledge creation and application. Founded in 1936, our global community today is nearly 20,000 strong, spanning more than 120 countries.

The 78th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management will be held August 10-14, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Sessions, meetings, and events centered around this year’s theme • Improving Lives • are scheduled to take place in the following properties:

The one-day Teaching and Learning Conference is an Academy-wide response to the growing teaching-related needs of AOM members across the globe. The goal of TLC@AOM is to assist members across all divisions as teachers. The conference is designed to support AOM members' teaching roles, increase teaching visibility both within and outside the Academy, and position the Academy as a global leader in management education in addition to its current leadership in management education research.

Registration for the TLC@AOM conference is $130 in addition to the registration fee for Academy of Management Annual Meeting. Your TLC@AOM fee covers full participation in the event, which includes the Luncheon Plenary and refreshment breaks, access to all morning and afternoon sessions, and teaching resource materials provided by presenters. The Teaching and Learning Conference will be held on the Sunday of the AOM Annual Meeting, prior to the refereed scholarly program. Join your colleagues in this day-long event for advancing teaching and learning in the Academy!

All attendees participating in ANY session, event, meeting, social or workshop, including presenters, AOM members, invited guests, chairs, discussants, facilitators, and speakers MUST be registered to attend. If you do not have a current membership, or are renewing your membership, the fees below in bold include a 1-year membership.

There are no formal meals included in the registration fee.

Teaching and Learning Conference Fees: Registration for the Teaching and Learning Conference is in addition to AOM Annual Meeting registration. The cost to register is $130.00 USD.

Cancellation Policy

The deadline for Annual Meeting Registration cancellations was July 19, 2018. Refunds are no longer available. If you have any questions please contact registration@aom.org.
